i have no trouble beating dell prices, they are sooooo much

They do not appear to be the refurbs found on the Dell refurb site — their Inspriron sub-model variety and volume is much greater than than that found on the Dell refurb site. The Yahoo Answers responding to a similar question about new Dell laptops on eBay… guessed refurbs but had no definitive answer. The seller locations for these sealed box systems are all over the United States. Also its not just Powersellers that are listing them. Most are Buy-It-Now priced.
