I think it will be chicken and egg….you’re unlikely to get insurance on a very fast car and in the unlikely event that you did the premium would probably be more than the car is worth. The only fast car that is fuel efficient that comes to mind is a Golf GT turbo diesel. Very fact mid range and they will turn out 50mpg easily, but they’re a group 14.
