What does \”unpainted\” mean when you buy auto parts on eBay or any other auto part store?

I’m planning to buy a spoiler for my car, and it’s silver. So I’m wondering what “unpainted” means, so if it’s naturally silver, then I don’t have to spend any money on painting it.

Silver may be the base coat as opposed to black, white or rusty red. The overall finished hue of the painted spoiler would depend on the colour of the primed surface. . . . do you have a link for the ad?

un painted means that you have to paint it yourself
as most spoilers are black plastic you will have to paint it to suit the car

For the paint just that no color youre going to stick to and also adds level of rust protection for the case of something metal it may be unless youre going to stick to have to and also adds level of something metal it may be unless youre going to have to paint just coated.
For plastic whatever it is very dull light grayish color paint applied at all in the case of plastic means just the part.
