eBay gets their money one way or another. Listing Fee and %commission if your item is sold. I myself use eBay but not all the time. Most of the sellers are scammers.

You have to register with ebay in order to sell anything. Whatever profit you make will be reported to IRS.

For personal gains cannot be taxed its similar to having garage sale selling junk and unneeded items around your store in ebay that is.
