What does \”unpainted\” mean when you buy auto parts on eBay or any other auto part store?

I’m planning to buy a spoiler for my car, and it’s silver. So I’m wondering what “unpainted” means, so if it’s naturally silver, then I don’t have to spend any money on painting it.

un painted means that you have to paint it yourself
as most spoilers are black plastic you will have to paint it to suit the car
